Walking on a Dream

It's been some time since my last blog post, so I figured
I'd give it another try!

Here in Rexburg, Idaho, it's been rather rainy for the past month or so. Thus, it's been somewhat dark and dreary. Wind, rain, with occasional sun makes for mass confusion. However, that doesn't mean that lots has been happening! Here's the DL...

School: I'm taking five classes this semester. Environmental Geology, Intro to Child Development, Family Recreation, Program Management, and Fly Tying. I can only assume that everyone knows what my favorite class was! That's right... Fly tying! It was awesome! I now know how to tie all the little fake bugs that the Trophy Brown Trout--the one I'm going to catch this Summer--wants to nibble on! I'm learning lots of other stuff in my classes, too. Like how kids are awesome, and a lot of work when they are your own! Geology is fun... but I fear that it may not be for me. I'm considering (very seriously) changing my major to Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology--a.k.a. Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement. You know that childhood dream that every kid has of being a cop. It's becoming very real for me! We'll see what happens, eh?

Work: I currently have a job that gives me about 2 hours a week... let's just say I NEED A BETTER/ANOTHER JOB! Any ideas? or connections? :) If I find a full-time job here in Eastern Idaho, I'll be staying. Otherwise, Mom and Dad will become my best friends! Love you, padres!

Social: I've been doing a lot of fishing--at least once a week. It's rejuvenating, and yet so frustrating. I love fishing. But I'm terrible at it. Who would've thought that those two go together so nicely? I had the opportunity to float the South Fork of the Snake River on a random sunny day this last month. AWESOME! I wish I could do it more often. I caught 3 fish--all white fish. Thus, I've received the nickname KING OF THE WHITE FISH! or THE WHITE FISH KING! Either will suffice.

On another note, the sun is finally shining on a daily basis here, so more outdoorsy stuff is occurring! i.e. Camping, hiking, longboarding, scootering, test-driving motorcycles I can't afford, skeet shooting, and general Summer laziness. Also, allergies... but that's a topic for another day. Also, I'm finding myself spending a lot of time with a certain someone. Her name is Katrina. She's the greatest girl! I like her. She likes me for my scooter and pancakes. :)

That's about all I have for now. Thanks for stopping by! :)

this is me!

i thought i'd share a little of what i am--by the things i do. it's not really too complicated. i'm easily entertained (just ask my family), and often up for most anything if my mood proves compatible.

so the outdoors is pretty much the best thing in the world. perhaps someday i will create a post that is completely dedicated to the outdoors and creations of our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. They're good guys ya know? good friends of mine.

yes...motorcycles. i don't own one. but my heart yearns for the rumble and power between my legs... in a good way. someday, someday.

and of course my family. they're the best! i love them very much. and they are pretty much the greatest examples to me. God knew what He was doing when He put me with this crazy bunch. The Fly Family.

so how 'bout this blog thing, eh?

so there i was... wondering to myself, "what should i do? i have to shower--my girlfriend depends on it! but then again, this blog thing is kind of cool!" so, i decided to start a blog. i have no idea what it will be about. perhaps, my girlfriend, family, work, the outdoors, my struggles, and/or my ideals. i suppose that in time this mystery will unfold itself--because for now, the blog spirit is creased in its own folds...
